Bishop Tony L. Mason, Ph.D.

Bishop Tony Mason is a servant leader from Petersburg, Virginia, deeply influenced by his family’s strong Christian background, particularly by his mother and grandmothers. He embraced Christianity at an early age, which laid the foundation for his spiritual journey.

 

In April 2005, Bishop Mason experienced a significant spiritual transformation and received confirmation of his ministerial call from God. This encounter led him to a life of strict accountability and dedication to the Kingdom of God. He was licensed for ministry in January 2006, became an Elder in September 2007 under the late Apostle Maurice K. Wright, and later co-founded Touch by the Word Ministries with his wife, Pastor Joyce Mason.

 

Bishop Mason was consecrated to the episcopate on November 7, 2023, by the late Apostle James E. Kellem, following a series of leadership roles within the fellowship, including serving as 3rd Presiding Prelate and General Secretary. He is recognized for his commitment to teaching and preaching the Word of God effectively and relevantly.

 

Academically, Bishop Mason holds a Ph.D. in Leadership, an M.A. in Religion (Church Ministries), and an MBA, demonstrating his dedication to education and leadership within the church context.

 

In addition to his religious leadership, Bishop Tony Mason is a United States Army veteran, having served for 20 years. He served during significant military operations, including Desert Shield and Desert Storm. This military background contributes to his perspective on leadership and service, further enhancing his role as a servant-leader in his ministry.

 

 

 

Pastor Joyce Mason

Pastor Joyce Mason has been profoundly influenced by the “hand of God” throughout her life, beginning her ministry early and being called to operate with an evangelistic anointing. Her powerful preaching and fervent prayer life have equipped her to lead many individuals to Jesus Christ. With over 26 years of ministry experience, she is known for her dynamic preaching and her ability to transform lives through her messages, which often encourage listeners to embrace holiness and sanctification.

 

Her roots in the Pentecostal church are evident in her ministry, where she emphasizes abandoning worldly ways and returning to the Lord. As an anointed intercessor, preacher, and prophetic psalmist, Pastor Mason employs her spiritual gifts to address and expose Satan’s tactics, rendering them powerless in the lives of individuals. Her ministry of deliverance, notable for rescuing those influenced by darkness, demonstrates her commitment to holiness and a lifestyle of sanctification.

 

Pastor Mason received her ministry license in 1998, became an Elder in 2005, and accepted her call to the prophetic office in March 2014. On November 7, 2023, she was officially installed as a pastor, leading the congregation at Touch by the Word Ministries Apostolic Center in Huntsville, Alabama, alongside her husband, Bishop Tony Mason. Additionally, she is a certified Chaplain with the American Chaplaincy Association, further extending her service and commitment to her community and ministry.
